Basis of the edition

The present edition is based on the photographs available at the Mainzer Photoarchiv of the Hethitologie Portal Mainz, as well as the available hand-copies and relevant secondary literature up to 2019. When the original manuscripts have been collated, this is noted in the commentary.

Commentary

Palaeography and orthography: Note the use of the “halved” ALAM (obv. 9) as in KBo 2.1, KUB 17.35, and KUB 38.23 (but the handwriting speaks against a join with one of them), and the spelling pé-danx in line 7′ (where very little space was available) as opposed to pé-da-an-zi in line 2′.

1′: or perhaps [D10 KA]RAŠ? The traces at the end of the line do not seem compatible with a reading iwar.
